About Cheryl René Harris
Rev. Cheryl Harris is an ordained American Baptist minister, a preacher, author, and leadership coach whose ministry has long been shaped by the quiet power of listening and the bold work of justice. A retired pastor, she has spent decades creating spaces where honest dialogue can bridge racial and cultural divides, and where communities can discover the sacred threads that hold them together.
Now embracing a season devoted to writing, Rev. Harris continues to companion others through theological education and ministerial formation. Her board service with the Center for Career Development and Ministry, and with The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts School of Ministry reflects this ongoing commitment.
She is known for a calm, steady presence—a voice that invites reflection, restores hope, and nurtures the inner life. Her teaching carries the gentle weight of wisdom, guiding individuals and communities toward healing, connection, and the shared work of becoming the Beloved Community.
Rev. Harris holds a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology, a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Emmanuel College, and accreditation as a Life Coach.
Through words spoken and written, she encourages others to honor what is unbreakable within themselves and to walk with courage, compassion, and grace.
